  • The cherries are made into jelly and are also consumed by wildlife.
  • Warning: POISONOUS PARTS: Wilted leaves, twigs (stems), seeds. Highly toxic, and may be fatal if eaten.

In Southern Ontario, there are many wild cherries, such as choke cherry, black cherry, and pin cherry. Among them, pin cherries are the rarest and most attractive.

The sweet flowers that blanket the tree during spring, are one of the most pretty and enjoyable things to see.
