Product description

Red Calaloo, also known as Garnet Amaranth, Chinese Spinach or Yin Choy (Yin Choi), is a tall and upright plant. It is edible and amazingly ornamental. It may grow up to a meter tall and its seeds, like all amaranth seeds, can be used as a grain. In the Caribbean, Red Calaloo isn’t grown to seed. Normally cultivated at the epitome of its flavor, Red Calaloo is normally consumed right after the seed stalks develop. If you wish to grow them for landscaping, you could let them stand until frost. Calaloo is easy to grow but it prefers warmer conditions.
