Autumn is creeping in—crisper mornings, earlier evenings, and the golden light that makes everything feel a little softer. It's the season of slowing down, of warm cups in hand, and of small wonders hiding in plain sight.

I've been out in the garden lately, spending time with the beaked hazelnut (Corylus cornuta) and a story that found me when I least expected it—thanks to a hungry squirrel and a curious professor. I shared a few thoughts here, if you ever feel like a quiet read.
