Home, Sweet Home

For my family, Muskoka, Ontario has
always been our summer home - even though we have never owned property there.
Year after year, we return to the same lakeside resort. To them, ownership has
never mattered. Muskoka is where they spent their childhood, breathing in the
morning air scented with spruce, swimming in clear lakes alongside wood ducks,
and roasting marshmallows beneath ancient sugar maples at moonlit nights.

Over time, Muskoka has become more
than a destination. It is a place of belonging—a true sense of home. Home is
not defined by owning or renting, but by where memory and loved ones meet, and
where the heart feels rooted.

As summer approaches, I am planning
my next journey to Muskoka’s forests and lakes. I also look forward to updating
my product images featuring native plants of the region—river birch, black
cherry and Joe Pye Weed, and other species that thrive in Canada’s landscape.

At Hundredfold, we celebrate the
beauty of Ontario’s native plants
and the natural heritage of places like
Muskoka.

What are your summer plans?
