Product description

Luther Hill white sweet corn was developed in New Jersey in 1902, long before the hybrid sweet corns came into existence. Luther Hill is NOT the sweetest corn – it is just as sweet as corns should be - no more, no less. It makes multiple 12-row, 3–6" long miniature ears on modest 4' stalks. Each plant, if spaced widely, can produce four ears. CAUTION: Untreated sweet corn seed will not germinate in cold wet soil. Please be patient and wait till soil warms to at least 60° F (15° C) before sowing. Or start seedlings indoors and transplant at 3–6" before taproots take off. Tender, will not survive frost. Heavy nitrogen requirements.
