Product description

The unique purple-skinned tomatoes are believed to be an heirloom originating from the land of the Cherokee Indigenous People in Tennessee. With burgundy meat and a brandy-wine flavor, the tomato is said to be sweet, rich, and juicy. The fruit could weigh between 10 to 13 oz. In addition, Cherokee purple tomatoes are very fruitful, usually having germination rates above 85% (>85%).

The only two requirements for planting these tomatoes are sufficient irrigation and sunshine. Staking may be needed to support the large fruits. Ripe fruits are prone to crack, making them ideal to be consumed fresh.
