Product description
Garlic Chive is a perennial member of the onion family, also known as Chinese Chives (Jiu Cai 韭菜), Chinese Leek or Asian Chive. It features aromatic flat leaves and white flowers. It is a must-have garden vegetable for Chinese. It is often used as stuffing for dumplings and steamed buns. Its flowers are not only beautiful, but also edible, adding a sweet aroma to stir-fry or salad. It can be consumed as chive in western cooking. They are drought and cold-tolerant and can survive harsh winters. It needs two to three years to be fully established, and then requires no attention. They will only be noticed in mid-summer when their attractive snow-white flowers bloom. Once they are established and start self-seeded, you may cut them as often as you can.
