New England Aster (Aster de la Nouvelle-Angleterre in French) is a common wildflower in Northeast America. It is a fall garden staple. In mid-October, while most flowers fade, this aster blooms. It is nature's mercy to all the bees and butterflies that are hungry for nectar but having difficulties finding some in the cold air.
The indigenous people use it widely to treat minor diseases. We want to leave it to the scientists to explain its healing properties. However, smelling the flowers or the crushed leaves is a pleasant and healing experience.
