Buffalograss is the only grass native to North America that is used widely for turfgrass. While other native grasses are beautiful in many ways, most of them are clump-forming, making them difficult to work with.

The ability to spread evenly makes buffalo grass ideal for a lawn. At the same time, it is nicely rich and short, tolerant to both heat and cold. Even though it is more costly than other turfgrasses, it requires way less mowing and fertilizing after the establishment. It is a sustainable choice for lawns, in terms of the environment as well as personal finance.
